"Sujata" is a story about a woman, who has sacrificed her youth, her desires, her dreams for the sake of her family. Today she is in her autumn of her life… and so are her two friends, one single parent - Shaila, and another a spinster – Roshni….The show attempts to highlight the physical, emotional, social crisis, conflicts, turmoil, and dilemma that women in our society universally face at this stage of life. After sacrificing ones life, personal likes and dislikes … and having spent ones last drop of sweat in rearing children and holding the family together….what is it that the woman gets in return? An often-nagging question, which this show tries to raise. The show also highlights the vacuum that sets in a woman’s life too see that the same husband and children who she has dedicated her life for has passed her by.
