Dolly Aunty Ka Dream Villa - Geo TV

Brace yourselves for brand new sitcom Dolly Aunty Ka Dream Villa exclusively on GEO TV. Starring the vivacious Farida Jalal in the title role and set in Dubai; Dolly Aunty Ka Dream Villa revolves around Dolly Aunty’s six bedrooms Grand Villa, its quirky set of staff and diverse range of paying guests.

Dolly Parera is an Anglo-Indian in her late fifties who runs the Villa with the help of long-time companion and her now manager, Akhtar Nazeer Malik aka Colonel. An ex-army officer who has a bit of a soft-spot for Dolly Aunty. Her other staff include the ever-effeminate French chef Zuben and the Hyderabadi maid Gulbadan, whose on a never-ending quest for a third husband. As for Dolly Aunty’s tenants, well although the Villa’s strictly for couples, it is still nonetheless a melting pot of cultures and personalities. Paying guests include ‘made for each other’ couple Ajay and Preeti; ‘always at loggerheads’ Arman and Samia and ‘love-struck’ Sunny and Nisha. A mixture of drama, romance, emotion and mystery; and of course bursting with wit and humor, this is one sitcom which will leave you glued to your TV screens.

Geo TV launches Chemistry, a brand new show for 2011

Chemistry is a serial which will bring a fresh look to the TV screen. It is a story about the chemistry between friends, lovers, spouses, teachers and their students as well as between parents and children. Chemistry also narrates how parents’ decisions disrupt, disturb and destroy their children’s lives as they force their decisions on them. 

 The story revolves around a love triangle of a chemistry teacher, Waqar and his students Rania and Ramis. Waqar is already married but his wife fails to bear him any child and both of them start to drift apart, while Rania and Ramis are involved with each other. Later on, Rania and Ramis get married while Professor Waqar divorces his wife.

 After many twists and turns Professor Waqar nets a web of deceit and makes Ramis divorce her and then he succeeds in marrying her. But when she comes to know the truth, she gets distressed. She gets sick with throat cancer. On the other hand, Ramis manages to develop a cure for it and his medicine restores her health. The question is whether Ramis and Raina could come close again?

Hum Tum - New Show on Geo TV

Two old friends Asif and Shagufta meet each other after a long time and come to know about each other’s circumstances. Shagufta’s husband has divorced her while Asif’s wife died at the time of their third child.

They decide to marry each other but their teenage children oppose this. In spite of this opposition, Asif weds Shagifta and brings her home. The younger children accept this wedding but Ali, Asif’s eldest son and Amal, the eldest daughter of Shagufta, who also hate each other, oppose the wedding. Slowly, the hatred alleviates and they start liking each other.

Asif’s business takes a downturn and he, with his family, has to move into an apartment. Here, the new neighbors object to Ali and Amal’s interest in each other.

The story comes to a point where, due to the narrow-minded voices of the society, new relations are not allowed to prosper in order to save old ones. Will Asif and Amal have to sacrifice due to social circumstances?

New show on Sony Entertainment Television - Adaalat

Sony Entertainment Television (Set Asia) is all set to launch a new court room drama - Adaalat starring Ronit Roy.

Ronit Roy, a popular face on Indian Television will play the lead role of K.D. Pathak, a lawyer with a knack of dealing with difficult cases. Pathak is a go getter and has a penchant for winning the most toughest cases.

The show will also star new comer, Teena Chaudhary. Every episode will be a new case.

Adaalat will go on air on November 20th on Saturdays at 8 PM
